The one less traveled by

“Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.”

It is autumn in Denmark and Charlene and I are spending some nice relaxing time in the country at my father’s place. It may be cold, hot, windy, rainy and sunny – four seasons in one day – but it is always beautiful. The elements of nature are felt just outside the door. This is home, this is what I knew as a child. It is good for the soul to immerse myself in the outdoors with my loved one. I am immensely happy I took this road.

Oh and I have a new camera! Fujifilm Nordic has very kindly loaned me an X-T2, the successor to my favourite camera ever, the X-T1. Much more to come, suffice to say I think I do not think I shall ever need another camera. This truly is perfection for me! The best camera I have ever used. Here is a small slice of autumn with the X-T2 – in glorious Anton Corbijn and P-A Jörgensen inspired black and white, I seem to love shooting everything in black and white lately.

X-T2, 23mmF2 lens. I borrowed Charlene's new 23mmF2 lens for a day and I totally get why she loves it so much. I made this with it.

I really love this one :) X-T2 and the 23mmF2 lens. Many would not consider 35mm a portrait lens, but it is for me!

I really love this one 🙂 X-T2 and the 23mmF2 lens. Many would not consider 35mm a portrait lens, but it is for me, I love portraits where I can include the environment.

X-T2, manually stitched pano shot of the storm at Thorup Beach with the 18mm lens. It was so windy the in-camera pano function kept telling me to pan better, cheeky thing! Manual it is!

This road, us, forever.

  1. Beautiful images and text!
…PS: I also consider the 35mm as a portrait lens as I can tell stories with it including the background. Keep up your inspiring work, greetings from Germany, Kevin

  2. Superb shots and text. Coming also from the countryside, I can totally relate to what it does to your soul to return. Love the 4 seasons in DK. Your Anton Corbijn style is unmatched.

    1. Thanks so much Jesper! I am glad you like my very Anton inspired (ok, I am really shamelessly ripping off his technique, I admit it) work, but it is nothing compared to the master himself! 🙂
