I have been lucky to give no less than six talks about my journey into music photography at various venues over the past few weeks. It has been so much fun, and I wanted to share a bit of the fun with you dear readers.
I stole the title from U2, and am calling my talk Dream Out Loud. My talk takes the audience on a journey from cassette tapes and music posters in my teenage bedroom in the 80s, to standing on a stage in 2018 making pictures of one of my favourite bands in front of 80,000 people. You get to hear the stories behind my favourite images and learn how I create my concert pictures with instinct, maximum creativity, Star Wars jedi tricks and using a small and lightweight Fujifilm camera kit. You also get to hear a lot of bad jokes that I think people laugh at out of pity or the fact that I enthusiastically wave my arms around a lot!
The tour is not over at all, you can catch me on March 20th in Svendborg, sign up at the Facebook event!
My dream started in the early 80s actually. I dreamt of being one of the artists that I loved so much, the artists I listened to all the time and that I had decorated my room with!
In 2012 I finally figured out the way into this magical world for me – my camera! Yes, I am really slow! But I got there. And then I got here:
2019 Tour
Six talks in a couple of weeks started by me jetting off to Oslo, Norway for two days and then took me all over Denmark including the island of Bornholm! Fantastic fun, although I have decided I really need a tour manager and some roadies!
Book me!
Thank you so much to everyone who came out to hear me! I am having so much fun doing these talks and I am really available to do these worldwide! Get your local camera club, Fujifilm club or dealer or Music club or Star Wars club to get together and contact me 🙂 I would love to come talk about my passion anywhere, everywhere! Arms flying all over the place and bad jokes are complimentary!
