Video: Music is Life – Music Photography with the FUJIFILM X-T5

Music is life. Music connects us, crosses borders. Music is transformative. Music is Everything.
And I absolutely love documenting live music

Please note: I am a FUJIFILM Ambassador and FUJIFILM sponsored this video.

I am so super proud to show you this movie! The project started back in early August 2022 when FUJIFILM Nordic asked me if I wanted to make a movie featuring me working with the new X-T5 camera. I absolutely wanted to – but it also had to be done just right, I did not want to just sit at home talking about concert photography, I wanted to show it! I wanted to be filmed at a large concert, I wanted to show how and why I love live music photography! I started planning, and then I spent a lot of time writing the script as I wanted to really tell why music means so much, why I love documenting concerts.

For years I have worked alongside the fantastic filmmaker Mark Balstrup at The Minds of 99 gigs and I always knew if I ever got the chance I would hire Mark for a project like this. I love Mark’s work, his filming and editing style and most importantly, he totally gets the magic of live music. Mark directed, edited and filmed the interview and some of the concert clips. I am so incredibly happy with the result, I had high expectations but it turned out even better than I hoped for and it completely represents who I am, what I do and most importantly why I do it. It’s pretty much perfect, thank you so much Mark! Thank you also so much to my good friend Malthe Ivarsson for filming many of the concert sequences at Royal Arena and providing feedback on my script. You can view my photo essay from the concert here.
