I previously photographed Saveus back at Roskilde Festival 2022, a wonderful concert, but I was very much looking forward to this concert in November: Saveus at Royal Arena, his largest indoor headliner show to date. Saveus’ music is sweepingly epic and grand and very well suited to large scale arena concerts, so I had high hopes for this concert and Saveus and the production did not disappoint.
The concert had everything, high energetic rave-like moments with the whole band and singers at peak energy level, quiet emotional parts with just Saveus and a piano, crowdsurfing, epic lights and Saveus in top form, sprinting around the stage smiling and the audience absolutely loved it all.
This was a gorgeous concert, and I loved photographing it using the new FUJIFILM X-T5 camera. It was also quite a different experience because while I was documenting the concert, my good friend Malthe Ivarsson was filming me the entire day for the FUJIFILM X-T5 movie made by Mark Balstrup. You can watch the movie on YouTube here (it’s also embedded at the very end of this photo essay).
